We prefer cheques (made out to Toronto Swing Dance Society) to cash, even at the door. U.S. checks drawn on U.S. banks are also fine. We can't make U.S. change for U.S. cash.
Discounts are for pre-paying. The discount is our thank-you for helping us out with pre-workshop expenses. You get the discount if you pay us 1 week before the workshop. Regardless whether you take the discount or not, you should pre-register. Tickets will only be sold at the door until we fill up.
For some workshops, you may see more than one pre-registrar listed. You can pre-register by mail, or by meeting one of the pre-registrars at a dance and giving them a cheque and your form. We hope this makes it easier for you to pre-register.
There are no refunds.
Children are our future and we love them. None-the-less, we have limited facilities for them. Children who are able to take the workshop and participate as adults are welcome to do so. Children too young or too bored to participate are the responsibility of their parents. We have no child care facilities.
In a word, No. Video cameras during the teaching are obtrusive and get in the way of the people who paid money to come and learn. In addition, most teachers have their own videotapes, which they sell. These are good quality and illustrate, much better than a "home" video can, what was taught.
